Shortly before Aretha found fame and fortune recording Otis Redding's "Respect" in 1967, she made a two-sided hit with "I've Never Loved A Man" on the A-side and this song, "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man", on the flip side. It was written by Chips Moman and Dan Penn, and with Aretha playing both piano and organ, she accompanies herself in a very gospel-inspired manner. The song is on Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Of All Time".
